Joshua Davidson is an accomplished counsellor with 12 years of counselling experience. Joshua is a caring, passionate and knowledgeable counsellor who is happy to help you explore your experience and find both understanding, compassion and acceptance. Joshua works with youth from 12 years of age, adults, couples and families.

Joshua has a passion for assisting you to gain deep and useful insights into your unique experience and develop a range of effective strategies to manage a variety of social, psychological and real world situations. Joshua’s support in exploring your unique situation will help you gain the skills, knowledge and ability to bring calm, greater quality of life and implement solutions that you control and choose. By helping you to look at causes, patterns and life challenges, Joshua can help you to find solutions, skills and adaptations that will help you create and reach your goals. Joshua’s knowledge allows for some informative and exploratory work that is not always available with other counsellors. Joshua’s ultimate goal is to help you to no longer need counselling and support, because you have grown and incorporated the knowledge, skills and emotional capability to thrive independently.

Joshua works with you to meet your specific therapeutic needs in each session, either focusing on the recent complexities that have arisen or continuing to work on the therapeutic plan you and Joshua have created. Joshua incorporates a range of therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, mindfulness, Motivational Therapy, cycle of violence counselling, and alcohol and drug therapy.
